Mario Martone’s daring challenge produced one of the most successful shows in recent years, drawn from an Italian lite rary maste r p i e ce. Operette Morali / 7 Moral Essays is a visionary excursion through the depths of the author’s soul and the main themes of his work. Operette Morali / 7 Moral Essays are a collection of 24 works in the form of prose, dialogues and novellas, written by Leopardi between 1824 and 1832.

The world famous Codice sul Volo degli Uccelli by Leonardo Da Vinci is exposed together with eight original drawings by Leonardo and seven by his scholars.

A gala benefit is organized by La FondazioneNY in The Gilbert Court on the occasion of the exhibition of the Leonardo Da Vinci drawings. During the event, whose main aim is to raise funds to support young Italian artists and cultural initiatives for 2014, two prizes and three awards are assigned to prominent personalities.
