ANTONIO BAZZINI & KAROL LIPIŃSKI – STRING QUARTET

Regarded as one of the greatest violin performers of his time by Robert Schumann, Antonio Bazzini is also an excellent composer of instrumental music. Unfortunately his works are not so often featured nowadays as their outstanding quality would recommend. In an attempt to draw attention on his important role in the history of music, one of his best creations for string is compared with an exquisite score by another towering, yet widely forgotten violin virtuoso of the first half of the nineteenth century.
