Italian Design Vibe – Key stories, identities and production landscapes in contemporary Italian design.

For the upcoming Stockholm Design Week (3-9 February 2020), the Italian Cultural Institute C.M. Lerici organizes a series of events presenting some of the most interesting Italian contemporary identities.



Wednesday, February 5th

Design Diplomacy – Stockholm Design Week official event. A talk between Rosanna Pavoni, Director of Vico Magistretti Foundation in Milan, and Daniel Golling, Curator of the collections at ArkDes in Stockholm

Vernissage of “Vico Magistretti and his legacy in Scandinavian design”, an exhibition dedicated to the Italian designer Vico Magistretti on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of his birth. Rediscover the work and heritage of the Italian designer along with his admirers among the most renowned Swedish designers selected by ArkDes. Admire some of Magistretti’s historical pieces from Möbeldesignmuseum.

Preview of “Anonimo Contemporaneo”, Francesco Faccin’s philological research of a chair with a thousands’ years resistant design

Presentation of an Italian limited edition carpets produced by Nodus and designed by international artists who work in Northern Europe

Thursday, February 6th

“2020 trends in the food industry: a wake up call”, seminar held by Food Friends in collaboration with ICE – Italian Trade Agency Stockholm

Vernissage of “Voyager Stockholm 2020“, the greenhouse designed by the Italian-Swedish artist Duilio Forte

Italian Design Movie Night in collaboration with Milano Design Film Festival
